We Still Need Your Help – Volunteers and Equipment Needed for Debris Cleanup
First, we want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who came out to help with the cleanup effort in Sandy Creek. Your generosity and hard work have made a huge impact, and we’re incredibly grateful for the support from our community.
While we’ve made great progress, we’re not done yet. There are still large piles of debris that need to be moved to the roadside for pickup, and we’re also in need of excavating equipment (skid steers, tractors, front-end loaders, etc.) to help clear out the heavier items and speed up the process.
We are especially in need of:
- Volunteers to help pick up trash still scattered across properties
- Help moving and hauling debris piles to the road
- Operators with equipment who can volunteer their time and machinery
Good news! The low water crossing at Big Sandy Drive is now open, which will allow heavy equipment to access the neighborhood for the first time since the flood. This is a big step forward in clearing the remaining debris.
If you can help in any way—whether with your hands, your time, or your equipment—please message us
Every helping hand brings us one step closer to healing and rebuilding.
God bless you all, and thank you again for being #SandyCreekStrong
